Targan slept out on the dock on a cold summer night. He hated being alone, and was looking for some work to do, or put in cruder terms, 'take people out'. He liked to refer to his occupation as Freelance Warrior, but everyone called him an assassin. To him, assassin meant mean hearted person, which he really was. So maybe he wasn't too upset about it.
The sails of the boats ruffled in the breeze. Targan was quickly alert and at the ready to defend him self if need be. He heard people off walking in the streets. Anyone could be his next target if the money was good. He prefered to keep everyone on an even surface when it comes to money.

Jason walked purposedly on the boardwalk, he had been given the description of an assassin who had been seen around town. He was wearing his casual clothes, like he had done for a while now...obviously they had been washed, but he didn't want to walk around in his armor like a sore thumb. Finally he spotted the man out on the dock and he sighed, this could go the easy way or the hard way and Jason wasn't in the mood for the hard way, he already felt down on himself enough for having to search out this man to do his own dirty work but it was needed. He stood before the man, hand on the hilt of his sword to let him know that he was ready for a fight if need be. "Megorian." The statement was both questioning and demanding, he had spent the better part of the day hunting down the man so if this wasn't him he would just give up and turn in for the night. [/sub]

"What do you want? How do you know my name?" Targan asked, eyeing the man suspiciously. Targan knew this either meant he was going to jail, or he was getting paid. It didn't matter to him, he was a difficult person to deal with. He didn't go quietly, and he wasn't cheep at all. Being one of the few Assassins around, and possibly the best, it allowed for Targan to control most of the negotiations. He tensed, ready to break for it. The man did not seem to have weapons on him, but nevertheless, Targan gripped a throwing knife.

Jason smirked a little "Calm yourself Assassin, I've got work for you." Jason raised an eyebrow before reaching into his back pocket and pulled out a wad of notes held together by a silver money clip. This was money that he had been saving up for years, not for anything in particular, it gave him something to do, something to look forward to. Now was the perfect time to use it "It may not be your normal line of work but there's plenty of money. I want some information on a woman...I want to know everything there is to know about her, down to the trivial things...everything" he swapped the wad of notes to the other hand. [/sub]

Targan said nothing at first. Spy work? It was not what he was used to, but he was very good at lying. He snatched away the wad of money and counted it. Perfect. "Tell me, Sir, whom would I be working for, and who would I be spying on?" He asked. He flicked the money against his hand. "Spy work is very dangerous and risky. Can't necessarily guaruntee any information until about two months in the job. By then, can't guaruntee that I'll be alive."

Maddie was not paying attention and was in a bit of a hury she had left her puppy in the little house that she had made she ran straight into them muttering something under her breath "Shit." she said backing up and looking at the both of them "Oh Sorry..." she said getting back on her feet. "I wasn't paying attention." she mumbled walking away again her hair changing from blonde to brown and back when she looked back she was Japanese girl with long straight black hair, she turned back just in time as her hair changed back to blonde and she walked into a busy sidewalk which wasn't there.

Jason smirked as Targan took the money from his hand. Good, the job would be done. "That's only half the money you'll get, the rest will be delivered when I have enough about the woman. You'll will be working for King Henry, but you wont see him directly you'll go through me." Of course, this was a lie, the King wouldn't allow the use of sereg'wethrin, it just wasn't done. When something needed doing you used another of the knights or soldiers but Jason didn't want the other knights to know that instead of killing Runya he was getting information about her. He frowned as the woman bumped into them "Hey...Watch where you're going woman. Anyway...The person you will be spying on is the second in command of the Vial Bandits, Runya Dae. I want you to get in with the Bandits and get in with her, gain her trust and learn all you can, especially where she spends her time alone. The one thing I don't want to know is where the Camp is, don't ask why, just don't tell me." Jason frowned, if he found out where the camp was he would have to tell the King and then Henry would ask how he found out...Jason couldn't have that. [/sub]

Targan looked up at the man. This was a very strange job indeed. He wanted to know all about some woman, but he didn't want to know where she lived? "What is your name, so I can find you? And I will do my best to get you this information, but it's not a usual job for me. You can expect delays, capture, torture, and death from me, but... I'll do it, if this is only half." Targan smiled, and held out his hand to shake. "Runya Dae, I've heard of her."

Jason knew that his next sentence was conry and over used but he said it anyway, there were psychics in the Bandit's camp, if they managed to read Targan's mind he didn't want them to know who had sent him. "You don't need to know my name, when I need information, I will find you. And I have no doub that you have heard of her, she's one of the most notorious bandits around and a very pesky one at that." Jason rolled his eyes, Runya bugged him greatly, whenever he thought of her the anger boiled up inside him. "oh and by the way, I suggest you build up some walls around parts of your life you don't want known. There are quite a few psychics in that camp, one look at you and you'll be dead." [/sub]
