Jason was charged with finding and killing Runya, they have fought many times since then and in one altercation he came away with a rather nasty scar. He has become obsessed with her and without realising has fallen for her charms, he knows that the only way to rid himself of this disgusting feeling is to kill her and Runya feels rather the same way having unwittingly fallen prey to the handsome man. Pehaps it is the danger of knowing that what they feel is wrong.
